The mission of the auxiliary is to assist Casa Angelica by providing personal assistance and financial aid; and to promote awareness of the facility in the community. The Auxiliary is an organization of volunteers who collectively contribute time and talents each year to create public funding events that raise money and awareness on behalf of Casa Angelica.
In the past, our fundraising efforts have enabled the facility to purchase new vans for transport, provide therapeutic and educational equipment as well as hydraulic lifts in the therapy pool for the children and young adults. In 2024 we were able to donate funding for the purchase of a specialized swing for the facility! Donations come from the public and corporations, contacted by our volunteer staff, and all money received from donations directly benefits the residents of Casa Angelica.
Our Events:
Annually, Casa Angelica Auxiliary hosts the popular Spring Luncheon and Fashion Show. This Luncheon and Fashion Show has become a perennial favorite, showcasing the latest styles from local boutiques. Participating boutiques provide the models and fashions for this popular event. Voted as one of Albuquerque's most anticipated affairs, this Luncheon and Fashion show provides a fun social environment all while raising funds for the residents of Casa Angelica. Of course, it is all due to our volunteers who generously volunteer their time to coordinate and execute this event (and have a blast doing it!).
We also support the artists at the Rio Grande Arts and Crafts Festivals by booth sitting at the Rio Grande Arts and Crafts Festival. This particular event is a fun way to donate your time and talents through the Auxiliary! We support the artists by providing assistance in their booths when they need a short break. As a thank you for the Auxiliary's help, the artists donate items for the Spring Luncheon and Fashion Show's silent auction. Additionally, as a thank you for our service to the artists, volunteers receive free admission to the festival on the day they volunteer!
